2024 Albany Beautillion
Militaire Club
The year was 1968, the height of the Black Pride Movement. A group of innovative women in the Dayton Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. saw a need to develop and honor outstanding African-American young men in the community. Thus, the Beautillion Militaire was established, the first of its kind in the country. Since its inception, over fifty-five years ago, thousands have participated and proudly wear the badge of “Beau,” making significant contributions to society. The Beautillion has since been adopted by organizations throughout the nation. This year marks the 22nd Biennial Beautillion hosted in Albany, Georgia by the Albany Chapter of Jack & Jill of America.

The Beautillion concept is a program similar to a cotillion for debutantes. It seeks to further develop and prepare its participants for transitioning into manhood through a series of workshops, which expose the Beaux to leadership training, community service, camaraderie, and social etiquette. The biennial Beautillion program is our Chapter’s primary vehicle for highlighting the accomplishments and achievements of high school junior and senior males from Albany, Georgia, and the surrounding county schools.
These extraordinary young men will be presented March 23, 2024, 6 PM at the Hilton Garden Inn.
